Warith Al-Anbiyaa University hosted the meetings of the Higher Committee for the review and verification of the Holy Qur’an, which is scheduled to be issued by the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein. This initiative represents a scholarly effort aimed at producing a meticulously verified Qur’anic text in accordance with the highest recognised scientific, linguistic, and Sharia-based standards.

The delegation was received by Assistant Professor Dr Talal Faeq Al-Kamali, Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences at the University. The committee comprised a distinguished group of specialists in Qur’anic studies from several countries, including Iraq, Morocco, Egypt, Iran, and Indonesia, reflecting the international and academic dimension of this Qur’anic project.

These meetings form part of the broader framework of scientific and intellectual cooperation between academic and religious institutions, reinforcing the role of universities in serving Qur’anic studies. This collaboration aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) through the support of rigorous religious education, Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) by promoting religious and intellectual values, and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through cooperation between Warith Al-Anbiyaa University and the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein.

The University affirmed that hosting such specialised scholarly committees is consistent with its academic mission to support knowledge-based and humanitarian scientific initiatives, and to contribute meaningfully to the service of the Holy Qur’an and its sciences.
